Where to start; i++ projects! Well have you read about the DWG in DeepWater? If you have then you will probably realised that the spin-off's to a device that can harness the potential energy of pressurised water are immense. Think of all the needs our world faces in the present day, clean water, cheap sustainable sources of power that are sympathetic to the natural order of the world around us. This is what the Fellows and Partners of i++ are striving to provide.

Shortages of life's basic requirements are at this time a global issue, not one country can escape the reality of need. The leaders of the G8 shake their heads and talk of hard times, of cutting emissions, of everybody doing their bit and they put up the taxes to focus our minds and spend our money on solving their problems. One thing for sure if i++ was a government department it would be costing the tax payers billions, it would be producing a report in 3 years time, for a 10 year plan to hit targets 50 years down the line.

So what can we do? The i++ projects that are going to make a difference in the near future are aimed at providing the basics, power, water and food, at a cost that is right for all the people of the world and at a cost that is right for the planet.

'First, do no harm'. 'The road to hell is paved with good intentions'. Tricky or what? Axiomatic saying not with standing, knowing which way is forward is often something the powers that be fail to consider; or at least it is not their prime consideration, life's so complicated at the top. At i++ we believe that the talent is out there to solve these fundamental problems and so we are putting in place a framework to encourage and protect those amongst us that want to make a difference.
