i++ came about because like many people I can not resist problem solving. I am an artist not an academic so was a little shocked when I came up with the 'DWG', this started as a conversation over a pint of beer with my son Mathew.

Art, maths, science all require that a balance is achieved,(equal and opposite forces and all that) anyway here I am with a balanced device that I think might work, a flash of inspiration but what to do. The number of different solutions that I came up with all seemed to have flaws, forget it and get on with my life was near the top but what if it really worked, did I have the right to just walk away?

The more I looked into the reality of inventions, patents, prototypes, proofs, business; the more I realised I needed help. So Mathew and I came up with i++. The worst case scenario is that I really do understand as little as I think I do. Then it occurred to us that there are probably many more people in the same situation. On the other hand, if my 'DWG' theory does work then I need help from people who do know the right answers or for that matter the right questions. So I sat down with Mathew (who is to co-ordinate the project) and problem solved. i++ is our solution and your chance to be a part of the future.
